Old City Kids Programs

You’ll recognize some of our programs, but we’ve added more! Meet us on H to celebrate birthdays, have a date night, during school holidays, for a field trip, and more!

Swim Lessons

have been serving our community for over a decade!

Old City Swim School is a technique-driven learn-to-swim-program that teaches life saving swimming skills along with the four classic swim strokes.

A level-based “building block” curriculum,  swimmers are promoted from one level to the next upon successful mastery of the specific skills required at each of the 10 levels.

Kids Night Out!

is a kid-only night of fun games, pizza, popcorn, and a movie! All at the gym and without parents!

Our coach-led programs ensure your child is fully engaged, learning, and socializing for the entire evening. We swing on the ropes, twist on the rings, build forts, play games, and dance the night away! KNO! is from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every 4th Saturday of the month.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

creates clear learning pathways for every student. Our exceptional coaching staff makes classes more fun, more effective, and more developmentally aligned, all while providing plenty of 1-on-1 attention to your child.

Old City Kids understands the importance of focused, age-appropriate instruction that allows every single child to thrive, no matter their learning style, ability, or age.

Birthday Parties

are THE way to celebrate a child’s personal new year! As you may suspect, Old City Kids’ parties are movement-based with a choice of 60 min of BJJ, or 60 min of CrossFit. Each coach-led segment will go over specific skills and games while having a blast. This is followed by pizza at our CrossFit location, an obstacle course, and dessert. We provide the pizza, you bring the dessert.

Field Trips

build community with our local schools and kids organizations. We offer field trips for Jiu-Jitsu and CrossFit. Both teach kids about the importance of movement and expose them to new sports, and unlock confidence.  Field Trips are 1.5 hours long and are a blast!

School Year Camps 

are a perfect way to keep the kids active when DCPS is in recess. Spend the day with us playing at the gym, practicing Jiu-Jitsu & CrossFit skills led by a qualified coach, and enjoying some outdoor time at local playgrounds. Each camp will rotate a variety of activities, including art, biking/scooting, gardening, cooking, scavenger hunts, biathlons, and more! Camps will be capped at 20 kids.

Summer Camp

will blow you out of the water, or in this case, into the water! Our Summer Camp is held on Gallaudet’s Campus. Join us for a day of outdoor fun, art, Jiu-Jitsu, CrossFit, AND Swimming! Registration Opens in January.

Sport Specific Training

is great for kids and teams that are interested in building strength and preventing injury. Great for one-on-one sessions, small groups, or a whole team.
